French Daze and Ibiza Nights..My experience

Summer Vacation has started!!! We just returned from traveling on Virgin Voyages 7-night French Daze and Ibiza Nights on Scarlet Lady. The Itinerary is as follows: Barcelona Spain, Marseille, France; Cannes France; Day at Sea; Palma de Mallorca, Spain; Ibiza Spain (7 pm - 6 pm the next day); Barcelona. We arrived in Barcelona two days before the cruise and stayed at AC Forum Hotel. We took a cab to the World Trade Center where the Scarlet Lady was docked. The cab stops you right in front of luggage drop. Embarkation was smooth! We arrived at 2:15 PM and was in our room by 2:35!!! We stayed in an XL Sea Terrace and found that the extra room in the XL suite was worth it. We used the bidding process to upgrade our Sea Terrace to XL. We had a blast on the trip and the food was delicious. We got off the boat at all of the ports with the exception of Cannes. We weren't keen on the idea of traveling by tender to get to the dock. We did a shore excursion in Mallorca and I have mixed feelings about the choice. In Ibiza, since we aren't really party animals, we skipped the night life however, we took a taxi to Bossa Beach the next day. If we do this again, we will at a beach club for an elevated experience. However, hanging out in the sand on a towel was still relaxing!! Bossa Beach (by Nassau Beach Club) has clean public restrooms available, which is a plus. One thing to note, although Uber is available, drivers do not pick up on Uber in Spain!!! Be ready to flag down a cab to get back from the beach!!! Overall, I had a great time on the ship. I attended 3 group classes: spinning, HIIT class, and Bungee Class. All three were very good!!! We also played in the adult playground: shooting baskets, using the see-saw and swings!!! And of course, anyone who knows me realizes that I had to go to Groupie for private Karaoke!!! We also did play video games in the arcade and card games in the Social Club. The disembarkation process in Barcelona was as smooth as embarkation!!! We stayed overnight at the Renaissance Barcelona. The hotel is centrally located as I was able to walk to the Picasso Museum and the Sagrada Familia!! This was a fabulous kickoff to the summer!! Comment if you have additional questions about our Virgin Voyages experience or if you would like to book!!!!
